HammershiftMyspace: myspace.com/satellitesun Satellite Sun are:Tom Irvine - Guitar, vocals Laurie Irvine - Vocals, Guitar, keyboard David "Oxide" Drysdale - Drums Scott Smith - Bass Satellite Sun is the sound of four young men from central Scotland who enjoy playing music written to entertain themselves and others. They are complex without being pretentious, challenging while still being fun and aren't trying to slot into any scene... Old Bio...Formed in the summer of 2004, Hammershift have been writing and playing their material which blends different styles of modern rock. Gigging locally in the Stirling area, they have attracted plenty of attention. They have also released two self-released EPs; the first recorded and produced by Laurie at home and the second recorded and mixed at the Tolbooth, Stirling by Mark Lough. You can hear more of our music at www.myspace.com/hammershift . Also check out www.hammershift.co.uk

Since our thread seems to be locked, I'd best post this here. After 2 years together, we, Hammershift have decided to part ways with our bassist. This was due to personal differences within the band as well as musical differences. We will be looking for a new bassist, but for the mean time Laurie will be on bass duties. We wish no hard feelings towards Kai or his fans, this was something that had to be done for the sake of the band and their enjoyment of making music. Thanks

Can we get the bio edited and the picture taken down please?
Thanks.
P.S. you all missed some great drama when Kai jumped off the school bus and tried to assualt me for waving at him. It's a pretty nasty business, wish I hadn't been the one who had to tell him...

lordi.. i watched the entire voting, and for once, i was proud of the british public for voting 12 points to finland. on an aside, its a shame to see laurzo taking over on bass, i hope they get a new bass player to keep the double guitar action going. and i look forward to a big smiley picture of tom as the new picture of hammershift, possibly with davids beard in the back ground.

Funny you should say that Marty... I got a disposable camera developed yesterday, and among the pictures were closeups accidentally taken of both david's beard and tom's lips. Oh, and we're auditioning a few potential bassists this week... If anybody is selling a bass guitar, bass amp or PA mixer please get in touch as those items all belonged to Kai's dad, so we had to give them back. Otherwise I suppose that's what eBay is for.

I have my four string which I could sell, but I can't see you wanting a bass that looks like that.

Doesn't matter how it looks man, that thing has a great tone from what I remember, and it's the bass you used on Hot Blooded right? How much?
